Elements and Performance Criteria
- Carry out safety procedures
- Safety demonstrations and checks are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
- Safety hazards are identified and reported and/or acted on in accordance with risk management procedures and regulatory requirements
- Appropriate hazard mitigation strategies are determined and implemented in conjunction with other aircrew members in accordance with risk management procedures and regulatory requirements
- Follow flight crew directions
- Individual crew positions are taken during landing and take-off and as directed by flight crew
- Safety restraints and crew seating are used during landing, take-off and as directed by flight crew instructions, workplace procedures and safety regulations
- Aid and assist passengers during an inflight emergency
- In an emergency, passengers are advised of the nature of the emergency and the procedures and precautions to be followed
- Clear communication is established and maintained with passengers
- Passengers are aided during the emergency in accordance with regulatory requirements, flight crew instructions and workplace procedures
- Passengers are assisted, as required, during emergency situations
- First aid and/or medical attention is applied, as required, in conjunction with other crew members during an emergency situation
- Carry out administrative procedures
- Administrative procedures related to safety and emergency procedures and incidents are implemented in accordance with workplace and regulatory requirements
- All required aircraft safety documentation is completed and processed in accordance with workplace requirements
